Outlook – Monthly Updates for Girl Scout Volunteers December 2017

Hooray, It’s Time to Rally!

We’re gearing up for our Altogether Awesome 2018 Girl Scout Cookie Program which starts January 1. To kick things off, we’re holding two fun-packed Cookie Rallies in Vermont and New Hampshire you won’t want to miss! We’re introducing an improved format this year where you can:

• explore interactive stations at your own pace and prepare for a great Cookie Sale;
• older girls can attend special workshops designed just for them;
• relax in the Digital Cookie lounge;
• shop at our Mountain Top Shop for cookie merchandise and council apparel;
• girls will receive a free patch.

The fun doesn’t stop there! Girls attending our Vermont rally can meet local turtle species and learn how to help turtles throughout the world, while girls attending our New Hampshire rally can participate in special hockey opportunities like shooting a puck on the ice before attending a Monarchs hockey game at 6 pm.

Help Us Unleash Her Potential

We are so close to reaching our goal of raising $100,000 for our Unleashing Her Potential campaign by December 29, 2017 so we can earn $50,000 from a New Hampshire Girl Scout family. We’ve come really far, but still have to raise $32,041! With your help, we can continue providing innovative programming that allows our Girl Scouts to flex their leadership muscles.

Together, we CAN make a difference. Donate today.

Scarves for a Cause
Council employee Patty Canuel is taking the lead and supporting our Unleashing Her Potential campaign by selling homemade scarves. Scarves can be purchased for $10 in our Bedford office lobby or online, and 50% of the proceeds will go toward the campaign.

Important Money-Earning Updates

We recognize that troops and communities need opportunities to raise money to fund activities, special projects, or trips. We have two important updates on eligibility and fundraising timelines to share:
• Troop/Group money-earning activities may not be held during published dates of council-sponsored sales. These dates will vary each year. This year’s dates are:
– Fall Product Sale: September 15 – October 20, 2017
– Cookie Sale: January 1 – March 25, 2018
• The troop/group must participate in the council-sponsored cookie sale in order to be approved for other money-earning activities.
Detailed Money-Earning Guidelines and Forms may be found on our website.
