A Fabulous Day at Farnsworth
We were delighted to catch up with many of you at our Annual Celebration and Luncheon at Camp Farnsworth on May 6! From the unveiling of our new bunkhouse and newly renovated dining hall, to the numerous accomplishments of our volunteers, there was so much to celebrate this year. Of course, one of our favorite parts of the day was awarding Appreciation Pins, Honor Pins, and Thanks Badges, among other recognitions, to volunteers who’ve gone above and beyond in their service to our council. Congratulations to all of this year’s honorees, and thanks to ALL of our volunteers and supporters. We couldn’t do it without you!

Background Checks Are for ALL Volunteers
Will you need additional volunteers at your camporee or other spring/summer troop activities? Please remember that ALL Girl Scout volunteers MUST register as a member and undergo a background check. The background approval process can take 2 – 3 weeks, so please plan accordingly.
To register as a new volunteer:
• Visit www.girlscoutsgwm.org and click “Volunteer Today.” Complete the online form, select a troop, and pay your $15 membership fee.
• You’ll receive an email from Asurint, our background check provider, with a link to our online form, along with instructions. Complete the background check form* and you will receive an additional email with further instructions from GSGWM.
• Watch Girl Scouting 101 training video. Once GSGWM receives your approved background check, you’ll be ready to volunteer!
*NOTE: If you currently reside in, or have lived in New Hampshire and/or Rhode Island within the past seven years, you’ll have to complete a separate New Hampshire and/or Rhode Island background check form(s). GSGWM will email you an attachment for either or both of these forms. Please print and notarize the form(s), and send to our Bedford office for processing.
