Two Ways to Experience G.I.R.L. 2017!

Become a Council Delegate!
Would you like to represent Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains at a national convention? Our Governance Committee is seeking a highly qualified and diverse pool of candidates for a limited number of Council Delegate positions. The National Council Session will take place during the National Convention on October 4 – 6 in Columbus, Ohio. Completed nomination forms are due February 10, 2017.

Chaperone the Council-sponsored Bus Trip
Girl Scout Cadettes through Ambassadors (Grades 6 – 12) will have the opportunity to attend G.I.R.L. 2017 in Columbus, Ohio via a council–sponsored bus trip, and we’re currently looking for adult volunteers to chaperone!

Volunteers will need to be available from October 4 – 9, 2017; be willing to attend training sessions in advance; be at least 25 years old; be current on First Aid and CPR training; be willing to ride the bus with the girls, share a room with other chaperones, be on call throughout the duration of the trip; communicate effectively with staff and guardians before and during the trip; and be able to handle money and maintain budget documents. Parents or guardians of girls attending the Ohio trip aren’t eligible to be Ohio chaperones. Apply by January 31, 2017.

The 2017 Summer Camp Guide is Coming!

Camp life is the best life. The 2017 Girl Scout Camp Guide from the Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains will be arriving in homes by 2/15/17.

Are your thoughts drifting toward summer? So are ours! Keep an eye on your mailbox: the 2017 Camp Guide will arrive in mid-February.

ToGetHerThere - TGHT Essay Contest - Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains

How has being a Girl Scout helped your girls make a difference and discover themselves? We can’t wait to hear about it!

The 2017 ToGetHerThere Essay Contest is officially underway. All girls who submit an essay will receive a special ToGetHerThere patch! Winning essayists will receive a $50 GSGWM gift card and an invitation to our ToGetHerThere Luncheon. One winning essay will be chosen from the following Girl Scout Levels: Daisy, Brownie, Junior, Cadette, Senior, and Ambassador.

Entries are due by March 31, 2017, and can be emailed to marketing@girlscoutsgwm.org with the subject line “TGHT Essay Contest – Girl Name, Girl Level.” Contest is open to all registered Girl Scouts in New Hampshire and Vermont.

Help Wanted

Looking for a job that matters? Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains is currently seeking a part-time Program Administrator/After School Program to oversee programs in Nashua and Manchester, NH. Programs generally take place on weekdays from 3 to 5:30 pm. Candidates should enjoy working with children and adults, be willing to undergo background screening, demonstrate excellent communication skills, exercise sound judgment, and have the desire to make a lasting difference in the lives of girls.

Learn how volunteering with the Girl Scouts can make a big impact on girls' lives. Invite a friend to start a troop today.

The deadline to invite a friend to join you in making an impact on girls’ lives has been extended to January 31!

Invite a friend to start a new Girl Scout Daisy, Brownie, or Junior troop and everyone wins! Plus, when you double the friends, you double your prize — $100 for you and a Volunteer Resource Pack (a $50 value) for each friend. Awesome!
